B2 Speaking part 1 – Talking about your daily routine

Here are B2-level phrases and expressions to describe your daily routine. They will be useful to elevate your answers in Speaking part 1. 

Starting the day

  • “I tend to start my day by…”

  • “My day usually begins with…”

Morning routine

  • “Once I’m up, I usually…”

  • “I make a point of…” (e.g. I make a point of doing some stretching.)

School / Studies

  • “I spend most of the day at school, where…”

  • “During the school day, I’m usually involved in…”

Breaks and meals

  • “I normally take a break around…”

  • “I prefer to have a proper meal rather than ….”

Afternoon
